Rita McMahon is a visual artist, curator, arts administrator and arts producer from Galway, Ireland. Her background is in printmaking & contemporary visual arts which she studied in Limerick. She has been working primarily in arts administration and facilitation in Galway for almost 10 years.

She has curated and produced many exhibitions and projects throughout Ireland and has taken part in arts funding adjudication panels for Galway City & County Councils. Formerly a Board Director and Chairperson of 126 Artist-Run Gallery and currently a Board Director at Tulca Festival of Visual Arts since 2019. For the last 3 years she has worked for Cúirt International Festival of Literature in various logistics roles including most recently as the Author & Outreach Coordinator. She most recently spent 4 years as the Managing Director of Engage Art Studios which she has now stepped down from as she re-engages with her visual arts practice.
